Mark currently serves as a district manager with Larimer County Department of Natural Resources. His career began in 1995 as a park ranger with Larimer County. Mark has also worked as a park ranger with Colorado State Parks and as a reserve police officer with two municipal police departments. He has over 15 years experience in natural resource and community protection. Mark is an NRA certified instructor in rifle, pistol and shotgun. He also teaches reality based training for outdoor settings and boat patrol tactics. Mark is a department firearm instructor/armorer, tactics instructor and a field training officer. He has adapted his training skills to help teach people tactical decision making skills in outdoor environments.

Mike Loberg

Mike has been working in Law Enforcement for over 17 years, and currently he is a Patrol Lieutenant and SWAT commander. Mike has developed and implemented a reality based training program for SWAT teams as well as patrol and natural resource officers. He served as a Sniper team leader and developed training and qualification courses for sniper teams. He has trained officers and civilian staff at large event facilities in site security and crowd control. Prior to working in law enforcement Mike served as a security specialist for the United States Army. His duties included security site evaluations, and training exercises at various military facilities.

Mark Hertz

Mark currently serves as an investigator in law enforcement and has over 13 years experience in the law enforcement and security field. He started his career by earning a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice. Mark has focused his career on criminal interdiction, facility security and in-depth criminal investigations. He is currently a SWAT team member, a regional criminal interdiction team member and a lead tactical instructor. Mark is highly respected by his peers and was awarded a medal of valor from his agency for his decisive actions. His extensive experience in site security, tactical training, and public speaking makes Mark a highly sought after trainer.

Gerald Baker

Gerald Baker currently serves as a patrol sergeant with the Larimer County Sheriff’s Department. After working for six years in Grand County law enforcement, Gerald moved to Larimer County and has worked for the Sheriff’s Office for 14 years. He also obtained an Associate’s degree in criminal justice from Aims Community College in Greeley with studies focused not only on law enforcement topics but also on principles of victimology, psychology and the dynamics of a criminal/victim encounter. His duties as sergeant with Larimer County include Supervision of Street Deputies, Street Law Enforcement, Field Training Program Coordinator and Assistant security Administrator at a large Sports and Events Complex. He also teaches street deputies the importance of officer survival thinking. Gerald has taught at numerous Police Academies and Sate/County Parks Ranger Academies in Colorado as well. Twenty years of interviewing victims and suspects along with advanced law enforcement training has given him valuable insight into the dynamics of a criminal/victim and suspect/officer encounters. Gerald has adapted these critical thinking tactics to civilians and has taught these same principles and threat assessment to civilian employees of his own agency, school employees for the Adams County School District, crime victims and members of his church.
